Instead of an app, you’ll use Safari and head to xbox.com/play.

To take advantage of more than the 100 games, you’ll need a subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. You can pay $1 for the first three months and then it’s $14.99 monthly. An Xbox Live Gold and EA Play membership is also included

There are more than 100 console-quality games available on the service. You can see the entire list here.

While some games are touch-enabled, Microsoft recommends a gaming controller. Here are all the supported controllers. You’ll also need to have iOS/iPadOS 14.4 or later and a minimum of a 10 MBps internet connection.

The service is also available on PCs or Xbox consoles.

Microsoft’s offering is definitely different than Apple Arcade and features more complex game usually found on consoles like Halo and Grand Theft Auto V. No matter what you prefer, it’s a great time to be a gamer.
