My m1 Mini is having bluetooth problems. My Apple wireless keyboard and magic trackpad (gen 1) keeps disconnecting and my trackpad cursor keeps freezing and skipping.

it will work for 10 mins and then not work for 20 mins and so on.

I really hope a fix comes soon because its almost unusable.

Edit: Mine appears to be fixed. Looks like my new HomePod mini was interfering with it. I moved the mini to another part of the room and now i have had 0 Bluetooth issues in the last two days.

Yes, issues with apple BT keyboard on wake. Also have intermittent issues with Apple Watch unlock, which may be related. MacMini.

Do you think it's a good idea to return M1 Mac and order new one? it's very annoying and never happened with my rMBP 13 2015 ?‍♂️

I can't imagine they won't come out with a fix for this soon. Look at the patch they released for the iPhone 12 issues, within a week of release. Fingers crossed.

2,4Ghz or 5Ghz Wifi? 2,4 Ghz Wifi and Bluetooth may interference each other.

Are you having devices connected to USB-A by any chance? All mini are subject to Bluetooth interferences because USB-A port are not shielded. There is a huge thread about it in the mini sub-forum.

I was affected but for me it was my Philips Hue hub that was created interferences.

Yes. My Magic Mouse is disconnecting. It was previously used on another system without trouble. I think this is a firmware issue. BLE for iPadOS apps is also not working correctly.

I am having issues with all Bluetooth devices I connect to my M1 Macbook Pro. Must be a software issue that I hope they can patch soon. All my Bluetooth headphones including a pair of air pods all cut out really bad and quite frequently. Ironically the air pots are the Bluetooth earphones that are cutting out the worst.

Yes, I'm having issues with Logitech MX Master 3 on new M1 MBP. It stutters quite a bit. But if I use the Logitech USB receiver, the problem is resolved. The mouse works fine on old Macbook 12" on Big Sur. I use 5GHz 802.11ax/Wifi 6. However, all my other bluetooth devices are working ok (Logitech keyboard, Powerbeats Pro headphones, Magic Trackpad 2).

Resetting SMC seems to have helped for now on my MacMini. (turn off and unplug for 30 seconds)

so, I've contacted apple support and they gathered system logs and other diagnostic data, they also informed me that many Big Sur users reported that issue - waiting for updates

This is most likely an issue of using a lot of non-Apple bluetooth devices. Switch them all off bluetooth, and then see if the problem goes away. If you can't do that at your location, go to another building where you can eliminate all that noise.

A lot of these non-Apple products are terrible for building bluetooth noise that ruins your wireless experience.
