Regardless of which iOS device you have, the above poll might be helpful to give others an idea of how much iOS 11.1 has worked to fix the battery life problem.
[doublepost=1509495613][/doublepost]For the record, I have yet to install any version of iOS 11. I was hoping to get more of a feel about how bad the battery life will be after I do a DFU restore to 11.1 on my non-A8 devices.

Iphone SE Verizon 16GB:

Battery hasn’t changed from 11.0-11.0.3, as in it is absolutely horrible and definitely has me looking for a Pixel. Usage hasn’t changed nor settings from iOS 10.3.3 and I only get 2.5 hours of usage before hitting 50% consistently (every single iOS 11 version, including 11.1).

10.3.3 I would have 4 hours of onscreen usage before hitting 50% consistently.

Non-A8 meaning "newer/higher"? I assume so, just checking for certainty.

Yeah, I'm not putting my mini 4 or 6th Gen touch on 11 mainly because the performance decrease will make me sad. Plus, per our discussion in the other thread, I'm pretty sure that Apple's long term plan is for me to not be an iPad mini customer forever. My 12.9" iPad Pro, the iPhone 7 Plus and 5th Gen cellular iPad (I will be buying to replace my mini for all of the non-mega-portable uses), on the other hand are all prime candidates. I just don't want to murder their battery lives.

I’ve been using beta 5 for days so I have put in enough time to know. Nothing has changed in terms of battery from 11.0 up till today 11.1. Still extremely bad compared to iOS 10.3.3

Have you (or anyone else reading this thread) done a DFU restore to 11.x, let alone 11.1? Might that improve things?

One of my problems with this theory (though totally valid) is that I shouldn’t have to do this every time an update freaking comes out. For the sake of making sure my issues haven’t been app related I will try this, but this is totally crazy to have to do considering literally everything has been the same since iOS 10.3.3.

The only culprit I MAY suspect is YouTube, but again, that never caused this bad a drain on 10.3.3...

Still too early to vote in the poll, but so far battery life on 11.1 on my iPad mini 4 definitely seems the best it’s been so far on iOS 11. Not sure yet if it’s as good as iOS 10.

Battery life is ruined on my 7 Plus. I am on 11.2 and phone is heating up and battery is dropping 1% a minute below 50%. Really abysmal. Don’t know how to fix it.

iPhone 7+ user. My battery took a major hit with 11.0.x. It was bad through all of the 11.0 betas too. Continued through the 11.1 betas UNTIL B3. It was strange. B3 was really good, it dropped again in B4 but then B5 it's been the best probably since iOS 10. Can't say it's as good as iOS 10, but it's definitely close for me.

My son has a 5SE and he says he hasn't noticed any battery issues, even with 11.0.X.

Anything goes when you take the risk to run beta. Come back when you are on an official release, like 11.1.

[doublepost=1509560886][/doublepost]iPhone 7, 128G.
I just downloaded the 11.1 update today from 10.3. I went from 100% charge to 85% charge without doing anything on my phone just driving to work. That was about 90 minutes of doing nothing on the phone.
I’ve since played with some of the settings and will see if it helps save battery life.

There are some of us - not a choice in the poll who have better battery on IOS 11.x than on 10. I realize I may be in the minority but. not in poll

Last night, upgraded to 11.1.

I don't think it did squat for my battery life. 100% at 5pm. It was 60% 3 hours later. I downloaded a bunch of app store updates and my phone got hot.

Watched a few Youtube videos, read some articles. Tweeted. Filtered some photos.

I was 20% by the time the game ended and went to bed.

This is unacceptable.

What device? And what were the actual usage and standby time stats?

6S Plus

Didn't record them. I'm using today a better guage. Off the charger at 6am and still got 52% left at 4:25pm.

Right now it says usage 4hr 41 min; Standby 10hr 6min.

I'm about to get off work so that means: play music on the way home, app updates when I get home, a few YT vids, Twitter, Facebook, downloading of new podcasts, etc.
