Apple seeds OS X 10.10.3 build 14D105 to developers and Public Beta users

Less than a week following the previous seed, Apple has released build 14D105 of the upcoming OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 to both developers and users of the Public Beta. Apple has not yet said when 10.10.3 will be released to all OS X Yosemite users, but the increase in seeds in recent weeks likely indicates that a wider launch is fast approaching. As we’ve previously detailed, 10.10.3 will include the all new iCloud-based Photos app for the Mac, developer APIs for the new Force Touch Trackpad on the MacBook and MacBook Pro with Retina display, and a new Emoji picker across the system.

I imagine both 10.10.3 and ios 8.3 will come out with shipping of the Watch. I can’t imagine them having the watch out without iCloud photos being finished.

There is an horrible bug that the Mac thinks I’m using different account for the FaceTime and iCloud but I’m not and I can’t make cellular calls using my iPhone anymore!!!

I’d like something pretty simple – more options to customise appearance and colours.

I would so love to be able to select the colours scheme of things like the messages in iMessage – let me choose something a bit more adult than the current imposed colour scheme.

I’m just curious, but what’s more adult than blue/green for your imessages/SMS and gray for everyone else?

It’s not a big thing – not like my brain is going to explode or something if apple doesn’t change the iMessage colours.

I don’t have a thing against blue or green, its the childish jelly bean shade. IOS went over to a child friendly image, then OSX copied, fortunately not to the same degree.

Pure personal opinion, I just think it could look better.

  4. Since i installed the update, Safari won’t let me open any google webapps like drive.google.com or inbox.google.com or even gmail.com
When my Mac restarted after the OS X beta update, it asked me if I wanted to use FireVault, and I think because of that, my web browsers won’t accept any of google’s certificates.

I have no idea what to do besides disable FireVault.
    Anyone else having this problem?

You think that is BAD, what have they done to the photos App now arghhhhh. Now when I go to faces all my faces are there but when I click on a face it telling me there are no photos but yet if you browse my photos all faces are clearly marked and showing on the photograph, yes when you go to faces as I said and click on a face it says no photos. Nice one Apple you’ve moved backwards not forwards lol.

Also has anybody found out how to batch change title or description in the new photos App as I can not find this at all and I am really missing it.

I am not having that problem at all.. I just checked it too and it worked pretty flawlessly. As for the titles and description , they wanted to have the location of the pictures or the dates so it links to your picture map a lot more easily. Main reason is you have the ability to add albums to make your choice of pictures you want in one folder. Just go to album>right click space>add new.

dude, you are using a beta….

    • michaeltilst - 9 years ago

I have exactly the same problem as you. Have send bug describtion to Apple via Feedback Assistant.

    • Joel M. Young - 9 years ago

I had the same problem and fixed it. Hold the Command and options keys while selecting the Photos app. It asks you if you want to repair the library. :-)

      • michaeltilst - 9 years ago

Thanks mate :-) everything is back to normal

Dude you’re a legend. Never thought to check for the same repair option as iPhoto. Nice find :)

    • James Collins - 9 years ago

Same here. Faces view identifying people and names but when I go in it says no photos. Also can’t name faces as the tag just disappears after.

For me Feedback Assistant is still crashing all the time. (Public Beta)

I guess OS X 10.10.3 will be there a day or two before the availability of Apple Watch.

    • Considering that OSX 10.10.3 contains the drivers for the Force Touch Trackpad for the MB, I’m guessing it gets released 2 or 3 days before availability of rMB, which is April 10th.
