Extreme PRO 128gb not recognized anymore

Hello,
after around 3 months of use, my USB Drive Extreme Pro 128gb stopped working.
The device is not recognized by IOS (it is not appearing in the device list, disk utility or terminal prompt). When connected, nothing happens and the stick keeps heating up until extremely hot. The blue led light remains ON but NOT flashing.
On Windows, I get a “unrecognized USB device” error message but nothing happens either. It’s not showing under USB devices or anywhere else.
I have tried recovery software, changing several laptops, etc. but no solution.
This is incredibly disappointing since I lost tons of data… I am literally crying now. What should I do? Thanks for your advice.

Hi @andzec,

Try to avoid using the USB drive any further as it may cause further damage and make it harder to recover any data that might be left on the drive.

Check the USB port: Try using a different USB port on your computer or a different computer entirely to ensure the issue is with the USB drive and not the port.
Check for physical damage: Inspect the USB drive for any visible physical damage, such as cracks or breaks. If you find any damage, the USB drive might be irreparable.
Test with a different cable: Try using a different cable to connect the USB drive to your computer as the cable itself could be damaged.
Check in Disk Management: Open Disk Management on Windows or Disk Utility on macOS and check if the drive is detected. If it’s detected, try formatting the drive.
Data Recovery Services: If none of the above steps work, and if you have valuable data on the drive, you might consider contacting a data recovery service to recover any data that might be left on the drive.
