WhatsApp is working on editing messages on Desktop beta
After posting the details about a new feature under development that lets people edit messages, we just discovered that the same feature will be released in a future update of WhatsApp Desktop beta.

It’s been a long time since the latest news about editing messages but finally, we have something new to share with you. Fortunately, the development of the feature that lets us edit messages has not been abandoned and WhatsApp still plans to implement it in a future release of the app. In fact, we discovered that WhatsApp is now working on bringing the ability to edit messages in a future update of the Desktop app:
As you can see in this screenshot, WhatsApp is developing a new view that lets people enter the text that will replace the original message. Since this feature is under development, the details about the time window to let people edit their messages are still unknown: in fact, at the moment, there is no limit. Also, an edit history should not be available but since this feature is under development, this may be implemented before the release of the feature in the future. In any case, we will let you know when we discover something more.
Unfortunately, this feature is not available since it is under development so we do not know when it will be released to users. But rest assured that we will post another article when there is further news to share with you.
