LIMIT POLL TO ONLY ONE CHOICE
In the article about the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.6.16 update, we announced a feature under development: a new toggle within the poll creation form. Thanks to the new toggle, the poll creator can limit the poll to only one choice. The feature has already been released to some beta testers after installing the WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.6.0.72 update and it is finally rolling out to some beta testers that install the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.7.4 update from the Play Store:
As you can see in this screenshot, a new toggle within the poll composer is available for some beta testers: it allows the sender to limit the poll to only one choice. As we explained in our first story about this feature, we think it is helpful as it will definitely avoid confusion and ambiguity. In fact, there are some questions that require only one answer, while users could be able to select more than one option. Finally, the poll creator can limit other people in the conversation to a single choice when replying to a poll, and the poll results will definitely become more accurate.
In addition, this update brings a fix to those users that were experiencing a critical crash when opening WhatsApp. Some users reported that the crash was fixed thanks to a server-side update but, in the event you still experience that crash, please be sure to update WhatsApp by opening the Google Play Store.
