In a blog post recapping their recent online event, Xbox confirmed that it's working on a standalone showcase in Los Angeles this summer.

In a paragraph about upcoming game announcements, Xbox wrote, "As we announced previously, in order to dedicate the proper amount of time for a deep dive into Bethesda Game Studios’ Starfield, a standalone show is in the works."

They went on to write, "In addition to this, our teams are working hard and look forward to sharing even more of what is next for our fans when we return to Los Angeles for our yearly Showcase this summer."

Xbox last had a physical showcase in Los Angeles in 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic and an increasingly remote-first world put in-person events like E3 on hiatus.

While Xbox specifically mentioned a showcase in Los Angeles around the E3 window in the summer, it's worth noting that they did not mention the Electronic Entertainment Expo by name, which is set to take place June 13-16 this year, making its return to the Los Angeles Convention Center for the first time since 2019.
