WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.16.11: what’s new?
WhatsApp is rolling out a new update through the Google Play Beta Program, bringing the version up to 2.22.16.11.

In the article about the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.15.5 update, we discovered that WhatsApp is planning to introduce avatars, a new way to be you on WhatsApp. Thanks to avatars, you may be able to use an avatar as a mask while placing video calls (but probably it will take a long time before being available to users) and it will also be possible to use your avatar as a sticker. In the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.16.11 update, the company is still working on avatars: in particular, the team is working on a new section to introduce the feature:
As you can see in this screenshot, there is a header image at the top of the section: it suggests that the avatars available on WhatsApp are taken from Facebook since they are the same. Thanks to this section, you will be able to customize your avatar to be used as a sticker to share with your contacts.
Unfortunately, this feature is under development so we do not know when it will be released to users. There will surely be an additional article on this website when we have more details to share with you in the future.
