WhatsApp Messenger beta for iOS 22.2.72: what’s new?

WhatsApp has just submitted a new update through the TestFlight beta Program, bringing the version up to 22.2.72. The version marked within WhatsApp Settings is 2.22.2.72.
What’s new in this update? it brings some settings to manage reaction notifications… so they are coming soon!

In the article about the WhatsApp Messenger beta for iOS 2.21.210.15 update, we talked about new settings to manage notifications for reactions. Today, WhatsApp has released the new WhatsApp Messenger and Business beta 22.2.72, bringing the ability to enable and disable notifications when people react to your messages!

As you can see in this screenshot, you are now able to manage when you should receive notifications for reactions, for individual chats and groups, and which tone to play when you receive those notifications. Unfortunately, it’s still not possible to react to messages, but the fact that it’s possible to manage these settings suggests that message reactions will be available very soon. When WhatsApp is rolling out the ability to react to messages, there will be an article on this website, so be sure to follow us to stay up to date!
