The app works ok, but is incredibly battery intensive even when not being used. Putting the app into sleep mode in the background then prevents it from connecting automatically to my in-car device, which is annoying. This seems to be a relatively new problem. Devs, please investigate. Samsung s23+ EDIT: tried both solutions suggested, but phone still reports high background use by app (after it's been used once for a trip, it just seems to carry on regardless in the background) over 20% today.

Unusable. Who knows what TomTom have done but the app crashes constantly. It also seems to cause my Samsung S23 to get incredibly hot. EDIT - After reinstalling the app it seems to be working a bit better. Can still be slow at times and is battery intensive. Also it would be far more useful if I could share my routes via WhatsApp etc with my friend.

Spend 50 mins to get it going and to no avail. It appears to me this app has been developed and tested on 'happy-flow'. It loops infinitely trying to find the gps, it won't open the 'scan qr' function while i gave it access to the camera,, it starts now with a flickering white screen but doesn't continue further, wants to access the address book for scanning an qr code... Enough.
