Description
Mario comes to the PC, in the form of a typing tutor.
In this product you get to play one of four games, of progressing difficulty (as either Mario, Luigi or the Princess):
Mario's Smash & Dash: Assist your character run past a series of boxes and turtles, each labelled with a letter that must be typed to avoid the obstacle.
Mario's Wet World Challenge: Help your characters swim across the screen whilst being chased by hungry sea creatures - only typing the words that scroll across the bottom of the screen will let you escape.
Mario's Tunnel Of Doom: Help your character run through a tunnel filled with traps, avoiding falling blocks and the like, by correctly typing the sentences which scroll across the top of the screen.
Mario's Expert Express: Essentially a practice typing lesson where you copy and type pre-defined paragraphs with the assistance of Mario's supervision.

It doesnt work ):
I'm trying to play this on a school chromebook. It doesn't work bc the "IA" fails to download. Also the no-fun extension is "Lightspeed filter agent" or "Relay". The no-fun extension is probably interfering with the internet archive. Plz fix. Plz delete "relay". The game is good tho.

You can't install it on Windows anything (maybe 3.1). You need DOSbox to run it.

Fun typing game
I liked the graphics and sound. I liked that when I typed the letters faster then Marco went faster on the screen.
I liked that it showed me words per minute at the end of a level. At least I think it was at the end of a level.
I don't know if Mario teaches typing is the best way to learn typing but, its a fun typing game.

Saving student name
I am starting to use this my elementary computer classes grade 1 through 5. It would be great if it would save the students name so the next time they get on they can continue where they left off.
Is there a download for this program.
Otherwise I really like it and so does my elementary kids.
Thanks

Nostalgia I didn't even know I had.
I remember they'd make me play this for like an hour in first period back in 5th grade or so. I was such a bad typist back then that I f*cking hated this "game". The fact that it had Mario in it seemed like a cruel joke since I loved watching my brother play Super Mario World (I was never good at video games myself. Still am not. Blame terrible hand-eye coordination resulting from a neurodegenerative disease. :P) Odd how frustrating I felt this game was as a kid and now as an adult it's piss easy and actually brought back memories. Funny how things change.

Glad to find my favorite typing game - a few issues, though
The caps lock needs to be used instead of shift, which can really slow you down... Also, the ";" key stopped working about halfway through.
Any way to fix this??

the '0' key does't work for me. I tried typing it with both the numpad and the top line of numbers. It doesn't work. Fun game though.

Work around.
It seems from a few minutes of playing that ASCII code works for semi colons ";", so this may apply globally. Hold down alt and type "059". ;="alt+059"

The game's pretty broke, with a lot of lags and not being able to read a lot of the keys like ',' or ';'. Also random which numbers will work (number line or number pad).
