Lose the factory radio, keep the safety features
Lose the factory radio, keep the safety features
When replacing the factory radio in many late model GM vehicles, you'll lose the chime that warns the door is open, along with audible safety warnings. This SOGCM-18 wiring interface lets you replace the factory receiver in these vehicles and keep the door chime and all audible safety warnings. This interface is designed to work with Bose®, non-Bose, and Y91 factory audio systems.
Connect the SOGCM-18 to your aftermarket radio, mount the module in a location where the chime can be heard, and plug it into the existing factory plug. Get the great sound you want, and keep all important safety features intact. You'll also keep your vehicle's factory front and rear parking sensors. The interface also provides 12-volt accessory power including Retained Accessory Power (R.A.P.) feature. Warranty: 1 year.

Retained Features: The Crux SOCGM-18 retains your GM vehicle's factory amplifier, parking sensors, R.A.P. (retained accessory power), and warning chimes.
- Factory Amplifier: The SOCGM-18 will retain your GM vehicle's factory installed amplifier. It supports factory equipped Bose, non-Bose, and Y-91 audio systems. Balance and Fader controls are also retained.
- Parking Sensors: The Crux SOCGM-18 retains your GM vehicle's factory front and rear parking sensors (it does not retain backup camera).
- Retained Accessory Power (R.A.P.): The ignition power source of most GM vehicles keeps the radio on until one of the doors is opened. This feature is called the R.A.P. (retained accessory power). The SOCGM-18 is designed to retain this feature.
- Warning Chimes: The Crux SOGCM-18 retains factory warning chimes through the use of an on-board speaker. It also offers adjsutable chime volume.
Notes:
- This interface will not retain OnStar.
- This interface will not retain steering wheel controls.
Outputs: The Crux SOCGM-18 is outfitted with 12V/4A Accessory, Illumination, Amp Turn-On, and Reverse Gear outputs.
- 12V/4A Accessory Output: In many GM vehicles, there is no 12-volt accessory wire in the factory harness, which requires the installer to run an accessory wire to the fuse box or underneath the steering column when installing an aftermarket radio. The SOCGM-18 is designed to provide a 12V/4A switched accessory output (red wire).
- Illumination Output: The Crux SOCGM-18 also offers an Illumination output wire.
- Amp Turn-On: In addition, the Crux interface provides an Amp Turn-On lead.
- Reverse Wire Output: The Crux SOCGM-18 includes a Reverse wire output to make the installation of an aftermarket navigation or multimedia receiver easier.
Note: The interface does not provide a Parking Brake or VSS wire output.

Works perfectly, wired up my head unit in my living room, and went to my vehicle and plugged it all in and it works immediately. Came with the antenna adapter, which was nice. I kinda wish I would have bought the one with steering wheel control compatibility, but that's on me.
